 Most individuals are forced to live their lives online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Cybersickness" is on the rise across all ages as more people turn to their screens for entertainment. Even before the pandemic, cybersickness had been explored mostly in the context of virtual reality games that were just getting started. Prone to worrying, assuming that the worst is just about to happen, people high in neuroticism are classically the ones who are highest in a number of maladaptive thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. The concept of neuroticism as a feature of personality can be traced back to Hippocrates, as due to possession of “melancholic” humor.
